When your dog has slimy poo
Dog poo can reveal a lot about your dog's health. One thing to look out for is loose, slimy poo. This can be a sign that your dog has an inflamed colon.
This isn't usually anything serious, but it can help you choose the right food for your dog. If your dog has loose, slimy poo, it might be a good idea to choose a food that’s easily digestible and specially formulated for dogs with sensitive tummies. For this kind of issue, giving your dog a fibre supplement can also be helpful. Always follow the instructions on the packet!
If your dog has slimy poo along with blood in their stool or seems generally unwell, please take them to the vet for a check-up to find the cause of the problem. Of course, you should also contact your vet if these tips don't help to resolve the issue. Depending on what you suspect the cause might be, and based on diagnostic findings, veterinary treatment may be needed.
