Accessibility at Lassie

We aim to make our website and app as easy to use as possible for as many people as possible. On this page, you’ll find information about our e-commerce services, the legal accessibility requirements, how we meet those requirements, and how you can contact us or the responsible authority if you have questions or feedback.

How to use our service

You can purchase cat insurance and dog insurance through our website or our app. To do so, select one of the buttons with the text “Calculate price”. First you enter information about your pet and then you can make choices about coverage, deductible and add-ons based on your preferences. Finally you can make choices about your method of payment. All policy information is delivered to you via email, but you can also access your insurance details through the app.

If you have questions about our different insurance options, how to get insured, or about your insurance, you can reach us via email, chat, or phone.

Accessibility requirements

As an e-commerce provider, we are required to comply with the accessibility act (Décret n° 2023-931 du 9 octobre 2023 relatif à l'accessibilité aux personnes handicapées des produits et services)

This means that our app and website – including features like login methods, electronic signatures, and payment services – must be accessible. Additionally, our customer service must be able to provide guidance on how our services are made accessible and can be used with assistive technologies.

How we ensure accessibility

We base the design and development of our app and website on the four core accessibility principles:

  • Perceivable

  • Operable

  • Understandable

  • Robust

These principles form the foundation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We aim to comply with WCAG 2.1, levels A and AA, which provide a practical framework for accessible digital content.

To assess accessibility, we use a combination of automated and manual testing tools, including Lighthouse, Wave, and BrowserStack. Accessibility is an integral part of our process when we develop and update our app and webpage.

Found an accessibility issue?

We’re committed to creating a barrier-free digital experience, but we know there’s always room for improvement. If you encounter an accessibility issue, we’d be grateful if you could describe it as clearly as possible and send it to us.
