Choose your excess
The excess is the portion of the costs you pay yourself for each claim. When you take out an insurance policy, you'll usually choose how high this excess should be. It’s worth knowing that there are different types of excess: fixed and variable. At Lassie, you can choose between a 0% and a 20% variable excess. Opting for a 0% excess means your insurance premium will be slightly higher, but you won't pay anything towards a claim. Choosing a 20% excess means you'll pay 20% of each bill yourself.
